IDGC of Centre, JSC and the government of Voronezh region signed the agreement on co-operation

Alexey Gorgeev and Evgeny Makarov discussed issues of upgrading and integration of power grid complex of the region, programs on costs reduction and grid complex efficiency increase, assurance of power safety of the region. The primary conditions and mechanisms of integration of the regional power grid property items into the unified complex were considered in the course of the meeting.

Directors of the distribution grid company and the administration of the region emphasized profitability of integration of power grid complex of the region and necessity of implementation of joint measures on consolidation of power grids that belong to municipal units of Voronezh region, and the branch of IDGC of Centre, JSC — “Voronezhenergo”. Co-operation in the course of development and increase of reliability of the regional power grid system operation by means of integration of power grid complex became the subject of the agreement signed within the framework of the working meeting.

Evgeny Makarov, the General Director of IDGC of Centre, JSC, noted: “Today the agreement is very important event in the regional power industry development. There will be the sole owner of grids that will bear responsibility for power supply of the region and work being governed by interests of people. Integration will provide us the opportunity to bring progress and innovations to the power grid complex of Voronezh region”.

The primary objectives of integration will be reduction of power losses and unit expenses for grid maintenance, creation of prerequisites for power transportation tariff reduction, implementation of energy saving and energy security policy of the region.
