Anatoly Libet, the member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, thanked IDGC of Centre for active participation in public activities, discussion and formulation of proposals relating to development of the draft law on saving energy, energy efficiency within the working group.
In Autumn 2009 representatives of IDGC of Centre along with officials of Ministry of Economic Development, Federal Tariff Service, Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, other power companies participated in discussions devoted to consideration of the new amended Federal Law “On Saving Energy and Increasing Energy Efficiency” which is being developed. Power engineers of IDGC of Centre took part in round-table discussions and conferences, forwarded their proposals relating to changes and amendments to the Law which is being developed.
As a result of the coordinated works of the interested parties Dmitry Medvedev, the President of the Russian Federation, signed the Federal Law No. 261-FZ “On Saving Energy and Increasing Energy Efficiency, and on Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation” on November 23, 2009.
Evgeny Makarov, General Director of IDGC of Centre, noted: «Power engineering plays great role in the efficient activity of all industries and creation of comfort living conditions of the public, that’s why increasing energy efficiency, innovations in power engineering are the issues of the state importance. Public discussion of problems by market participants, constructive dialogue, active position of each one contribute to solving of these tasks».
