The sum of reimbursed damage on all revealed facts of embezzlement for nine months of the current year amounted to 59,4 mln. Rubles, having increased by 43% in comparison with the same period of 2008. It is connected with high-gain operation of subdivision for economic security of IDGC of Centre, JSC in 2009 intended for revelation of facts of embezzlement in the branches.
369 persons have been brought to administrative responsibility for nine years of 2009. 213 criminal proceedings have been initiated, 61 cases have been submitted to the court, 140 persons have been brought to criminal responsibility in relation to the facts of embezzlement. For the accounting period the main statistics of embezzlement includes theft of power transmission line wires, supports, metal structures, dekitting of transformers, theft of equipment of substations as well as unaccountable and uncontractual consumption of electric power.
Owing to performed preventive measures of IDGC of Centre, JSC together with bodies of Department of Internal Affairs relating to countermeasures to embezzlements, unaccountable and uncontractual consumption of electric power in 2009, number of cases concerning bringing of malicious persons to criminal and administrative responsibility has increased, and therefore, crime detection rate and amount of damage reimbursed to the Company grew.
Sergey Mashchenko, the assistant of the General Director for economic security of IDGC of Centre, JSC, remarked: “Currently the system work on countermeasures to embezzlements is developed and conducted in the branches of the Company. Owing to this we achieved growth of administrative and crime detection rate practically on all facts of embezzlement with power facilities, in this connection the interest of reimbursed damage has increased”.
