Specialists of the branch “Rosseti Centre Tambovenergo” are completing the repair of the 110 kV overhead line “Kotovskaya CHPP2 - Tambovskaya No. 4”, the first and second circuits with taps in the Tambovsky district of the Tambov region. The work is being carried out to improve the reliability of power supply to consumers and to prepare the power facility for the autumn-winter period of 2020-2021.
The 110 kV overhead line “Kotovskaya CHPP2 - Tambovskaya No. 4” provides 110 kV transit between the 220 kV Tambovskaya substation No. 4 and the 220 kV Kotovskaya substation located in the service area of Federal Grid Company. It feeds 3 city substations of 110 kV, which provide electricity to more than 83 thousand residents and more than 20 socially significant facilities in the city of Tambov and the settlement of Periksa. The overhead line is a source of power supply for such large enterprises as the South-Eastern Railway, the Tambov Car Repair Plant, the Revtrud plant, the Demetra flour mill, the Aystek refrigeration plant, and a shoe factory.
During the work at the power facility, three reinforced concrete poles were replaced with multifaceted ones, which are distinguished by their reliability and aesthetic appearance, which is important for the urban environment. Also, as part of the repair on this overhead line, 1.1 km of ground wire and line insulation in the amount of 350 insulators were replaced.
This year, work will be carried out at other significant power facilities that provide power supply to the social infrastructure of the region: the 110 kV overhead lines “Tambovskaya No. 4-Morshanskaya 1”, “Rasskazovskaya-Naschekinskaya” with a tap at the Kozhzavod substation, “Michurinskaya-Khmelevskaya I circuit with a tap the Nikiforovskaya substation”. In total, they supply electricity to 229 settlements, more than 76 thousand people.
“The implementation of a set of planned activities on the overhead lines of the main grid will provide a foundation for the further development of industry, both in Tambov and the Tambov region as a whole, as well as the uninterrupted operation of electrical equipment, reliability and stability of power supply to residents of the region during low temperatures and maximum loads in the power system,” stressed Nikolay Bogomolov, Deputy General Director - Director of the branch “Rosseti Centre Tambovenergo”.
