Kostromaenergo’s employees took part in the race in honour of the Victory Parade dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II

On 24 June, the whole country celebrated the anniversary Victory Parade on Red Square in Moscow. Sports fans decided to celebrate the event in Kostroma in a running rhythm. Representatives of the branch “Rosseti Centre Kostromaenergo” joined them. In total, about 40 people took part in the friendly race of 5 and 10 km and the half marathon (21 km) - representatives of organizations, youth and sports associations of the city. Among them there were dispatchers of Kostromaenergo’s Grid Control Centre Sergey Meshalnikov and Mikhail Gerasimov, as well as the dispatcher of the operational and technological group of the Pavinsky Distribution Zone Vladimir Permyakov. With flags of the USSR and Russia, the banner of Victory, athletes ran the half marathon from the War Memorial “Monument of Glory” along the footpaths of the central streets of Kostroma, observing the rules of the road. There were no winners in the race that day. All participants of the event thereby expressed their recognition to the veterans as a sign of gratitude and pride for the Great Victory.

Please, be reminded that for many years employees of the Kostromaenergo branch regularly go in for sports, become participants and winners of Rosseti Centre’s Sports Games. So, Sergey Meshalnikov has 19 years of participation in the sports contest of power engineers. During this time, he repeatedly became the winner of competitions of this level. 

“We support our athletes, paying great attention to sports and promoting a healthy lifestyle among the employees of the branch. Kostromaenergo provides the necessary assistance in acquiring equipment and contributes to the training process. This allows our guys to show good results not only in regional events, but also in corporate competitions of Rosseti Centre’s branches, demonstrating a high level of physical fitness, team spirit and the will to win,” stressed Lyudmila Tkachenko, the head of the human resources department at Kostromaenergo.
