Employees of the Tver branch of Rosseti Centre became participants in the All-Russian patriotic action “Candle of Remembrance”.
In 2020, in connection with the epidemiological situation, the annual commemorative event takes place in an online format. Employees of the branch “Rosseti Centre Tverenergo” joined the regional campaign “Relay race of memory” organized by the Committee for Youth Affairs of the Tver Region and the Regional Youth Centre, which was held from 15 to 22 June 2020. In different cities and districts of the Tver region at mass graves, monuments and memorials to soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War, the participants of the action shot videos with a candle lit in memory of those who died on battlefields.
Tverenergo’s employees also prepared a video clip symbolizing the lighting of the fire of victory as a sign of gratitude, sorrow and eternal memory for a bright and peaceful sky.
Employees of Distribution Zones of the branch joined the shooting of the memorable video.
So, workers of the Sandovsky section of the Vesyegonsky Distribution Zone lit a candle for memory at the monument “Countrymen-Sandovites who died for their Motherland”, symbolically “passing” it to power engineers of the Konakovsky Distribution Zone for lighting at the Memorial in Memory of the feat of Sergeant Vasilkovsky in the village of Ryabinki of the Konakovsky district. And employees of the Torzhoksky Distribution Zone raised a memorial fire at the mass grave in the village of Mironezhye of the Torzhoksky district.
Participation in the “Candle of Remembrance” was attended not only by young workers, but also by managers. Lighting a candle at the Obelisk of Victory in Tver, First Deputy General Director - Chief Engineer of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region Alexander Pilyugin stressed: “The action is designed to unite young people and the older generation, public organizations and city residents. The victory was forged by the joint efforts of all the peoples of the Soviet Union, the war affected every family in the large country. Thanks to this unity, the friendship of peoples, we won the Great Victory. On this historically memorable day, the employees of “Rosseti Centre Tverenergo” also join the nationwide campaign, expressing a tribute to memory, respect and reverent attitude to all those who fell on the battlefields of the Great Patriotic War, the victorious soldiers, rear veterans and children of the war.”
