Belgorodenergo provided electricity to the “Muromsky Forest” park

11.06.2020

Specialists of “Rosseti Centre Belgorodenergo” completed the grid connection of the “Muromsky Forest” natural park in the Belgorodsky disrict. The power engineers provided electricity to the future cafe, pier, and other infrastructure facilities with a total capacity of 300 kW.

To connect the electrical installations of the park zone to the grid, the branch constructed a package transformer substation of 10/0.4 kV and laid a total of about two kilometres of overhead and cable power lines of 0.4-10 kV. When installing the power supply circuit, the power engineers used modern Russian equipment and materials.

The “Muromsky Forest” project aims to create a comfortable zone in the forest for everyday recreation and cultural activities of Belgorod residents. The idea of arranging a unique natural corner in the heart of a real forest arose several years ago, and work is underway to improve the territory. Pedestrian walkways, viewing platforms, animal feeders, cafes, a pier and other recreational facilities will appear on an area of 880 ha. In the future, taking into account the development of the park infrastructure, the capacity of the “Muromsky Forest” is planned to be increased to 500 kW.
