Activists of “Rosseti Centre Voronezhenergo” provide assistance to regional volunteer headquarters as part of the All-Russian action of mutual assistance “We are together”

30.04.2020

Volunteers of the branch “Rosseti Centre Voronezhenergo” responded to the call of the regional volunteer movement and joined the All-Russian action of mutual assistance “We are together”. The action is aimed at supporting elderly and disabled people in the context of the spread of coronavirus infection.

On the eve of the May holidays, members of the volunteer headquarters of Voronezhenergo, the backbone of which are representatives of the Youth Council, employees of the department of social relations and members of the trade union organization, took upon themselves the delivery of grocery sets to elderly Voronezh residents. During the pre-holiday day on 30 April, activists of the volunteer movement of the branch visited 17 addresses. The volunteers took part in the actions, subject to the necessary personal protective measures, wearing masks and gloves.

The work was carried out jointly with members of the volunteer headquarters of the city of Voronezh, the youth department of the Voronezh diocese with the participation of the All-Russia People’s Front, the NPO Resource Centre, the Volunteer Development Resource Centre in the territory of the Voronezh Region and the Regional Youth Centre.

“There has been a tradition in Voronezhenergo for a long time - to help former colleagues, labour veterans and home workers not only on the occasion of the holiday. Therefore, when the action #WeTogether started, we expanded our experience to those who, in the conditions of the self-isolation regime, found themselves in a difficult situation. These are, first of all, elderly lonely people. The branch’s volunteers actively interact with regional volunteer organizations. And this noble work will continue,” stressed Acting Director of the branch “Rosseti Centre Voronezhenergo” Vyacheslav Antonov. Please, be reminded that the action #WeTogether to assist residents of the older generation started throughout the country in early April this year.
