Power engineers of Rosseti Centre provided over 2 megawatts of additional power to a glass factory in Yaroslavl

15.04.2020

Specialists of the branch “Rosseti Centre Yarenergo” completed grid connection of new production facilities of the Centre for glass processing and storage of “Russian Glass Company”.

To provide the plant with additional power, two new bays were installed at the “NPZ” substation and two cable power lines with a total length of 1.4 kilometres were laid from this substation to the factory. As a result, the total capacity of the facility, taking into account the previously connected kilowatts, amounted to 2.6 MW.

The Yaroslavl plant required an increase in capacity in connection with the implementation of a modern technology for processing tempered glass for stained-glass windows, building facades, and other structures. Thanks to the opening of new production, the enterprise will be able to annually produce about 500 thousand square metres of glass products for the construction industry and provide 150 jobs for residents of the region.
