The branch “Rosseti Centre Tambovenergo” has joined the All-Russian mutual assistance action #WeTogether, which is aimed at supporting elderly and low-mobility citizens in the context of the spread of a new coronavirus infection. Director of “Rosseti Centre Tambovenergo” Nikolay Bogomolov, the State Duma deputy from the Tambov region Alexander Zhupikov, representatives of the branch’s Youth Council, together with regional authorities and Tambov entrepreneurs, have joined the volunteer work. Together they handed over a thousand masks to the Department of Social Protection and Family Policy of the Tambov Region and the Tambov boarding house for war and labour veterans.
Social workers and older people are at risk for coronavirus infection and now more than ever need such a scarce protective device.
Currently 200 people live in the House of Veterans in the Tambov region, which provides social services for stationary social services for war and labour veterans living in the region, who have partially or completely lost the ability to self-care and need constant outside care, who in the current conditions even more need care and support from volunteers.
Also, these masks were received by social workers, the load on which in a pandemic has increased many times. Every day they visit more than 400 addresses to provide professional services, so they need to follow all safety measures so as not to jeopardize the persons they take care of.
“I joined the ranks of volunteers to help people who, due to circumstances, need support. In order to engage in the volunteer activities, I attended training courses and received an appropriate certificate. I’m not going to stop, and from now on I will provide assistance to those who will need it,” said Alexander Butusov, a specialist in the section of labour and wages, the chairman of the Youth Council of the branch “Rosseti Centre Tambovenergo”.
“Tambovenergo, as far as possible, is trying to provide support and give attention to people. Now we are developing an action plan, under which the volunteers of our branch will work. First of all, it is assistance to labour veterans and workers of the rear of our organization. We also plan to work with other volunteer organizations in the region to reach as many people as possible who need help in the pandemic. Helping people, we let them know that they are not forgotten, they are not alone. We are together!” noted Nikolay Bogomolov, Deputy General Director - Director of the branch “Rosseti Centre Tambovenergo”.
