Employees of the Kostromaenergo branch since the beginning of the year revealed 100 facts of energy theft

The branch “Rosseti Centre Kostromaenergo” continues systematic work to identify and suppress non-metered and non-contractual electricity consumption.

Based on the results of the raid events held in January and February of this year, the branch’s specialists revealed 100 facts of energy theft. The stolen electricity was more than 3 million kWh for a total amount of about 12.4 million rubles. The largest number of violations was detected in the City, Nerekhtsky and Sharyinsky districts: the total amount of non-metered energy consumption there was more than 2 million kWh, which in monetary terms exceeds 9.5 million rubles.

In all cases of the theft, acts of non-metered and non-contractual energy consumption were drawn up and applications were sent to law enforcement authorities to initiate cases of an administrative offense in accordance with the current legislation of the Russian Federation.
