Children of Voronezhenergo’s employees became winners of the qualifying stage of the contest “Rosseti: children draw!”

This year, ten schoolchildren from the Voronezh region took part in the contest, who presented drawings in the nominations “Energy of the Great Victory”, “100th Anniversary of the GOELRO Plan” and “Tomorrow’s Electric Power”, made in various visual techniques.

As a result, two of them became winners of the qualifying stage. Makar Popov won the first place in the nomination “Energy of the Great Victory” in the age group of 8 to 10 years old, and Maria Panfilova became the silver medalist in the nomination “100th anniversary of the GOELRO Plan” among children from 11 to 14 years old.

Now their works will be evaluated by a special jury at the final stage of the contest, which will be held in Moscow. All participants will be awarded with diplomas, and laureates and winners will also receive valuable prizes.

“It is pleasant to note that the children of Voronezhenergo’s employees are not only close to the profession of parents, but they also demonstrate a keen interest in the history of the industry, in the glorious past of our country and are able to convey it in artistic images. I am sure we are growing a worthy shift,” stressed Acting Director of the branch “Rosseti Centre Voronezhenergo” Vyacheslav Antonov.

The children’s drawing contest “Rosseti: children draw!” held annually by Rosseti’s Group of Companies. It involves children of employees of subsidiaries that are members of Rosseti’s Group of Companies aged 5 to 14 years. The purpose of the contest is to educate the labour and patriotic qualities of the younger generation, to increase the interest of children in the energy profession, to strengthen cultural and corporate ties between organizations of the electric grid complex.
