20.03.2020

A round table was held at the branch “Rosseti Centre Kostromaenergo” dedicated to the prevention of third-party injuries at electric grid facilities. Representatives of the General Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Kostroma region, Rostekhnadzor, the departments of education and science and social security of the population of the Kostroma region, as well as the city education committee took part in it.

Power engineers acquainted the participants with work experience in the field of electrical safety. So, in 2019, Kostromaenergo’s specialists conducted more than 800 preventive classes in 170 educational institutions of the Kostroma region, as well as about 20 route games on electrical safety in educational institutions and children’s country camps. For the first time in 2019, the power engineers from the Kostroma branch of Rosseti Centre took part in the organization of the safety quiz “What? Where? When?” among schoolchildren of grades 7-8 of the city of Kostroma. Most of the activities were carried out as part of agreements on the consolidation of efforts in the implementation of measures to prevent electrical injuries among children and adolescents concluded by Kostromaenergo with the city and regional education departments, the regional departments of the Ministry of Emergencies and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

In addition, the power engineers distributed thematic information materials in the region. Safety videos, hundreds of copies of the children’s book on electrical safety “Energolandia”, published with the support of Rosseti Centre, and thematic lesson schedules were sent to educational institutions.

The roundtable participants also discussed issues of expanding cooperation in the field of prevention of children’s safety. In particular, it was decided to organize distance learning for schoolchildren in safety issues from 1 April 2020, when a new academic quarter will begin. It is planned to consolidate video, audio, and presentation materials from various departments in order to use them in educational institutions of the city of Kostroma and the Kostroma region during distance learning on-line. This initiative was made at the round table by the deputy director of the department - the head of the department of preschool, general and additional education Olga Khasanova.
