The branch “Rosseti Centre Kurskenergo” summed up the results of the implementation of the energy conservation and energy efficiency improvement program in 2019. The total effect of the program amounted to 5.38 million kWh with planned indicators of 3.05 million kWh.
The largest amount of savings - more than 4.1 million kWh - was obtained from the implementation of organizational measures to reduce losses. Among them there is optimization of operating modes of underloaded equipment, disconnection of transformers in low load modes at substations with two or more transformers, disconnection of transformers with seasonal load, as well as equalization of phase loads in distribution grids of 0.38 kV.
Over 1.2 million kWh were saved thanks to technical measures: replacing wires for a larger cross section on overloaded power lines and replacing wires of taps of overhead lines in residential buildings with self-supporting insulated wire (SIW), installing energy-saving transformers.
In addition, more than 834 thousand kWh of electricity were saved for household needs, including by replacing incandescent lamps with energy-saving LEDs. In total, 2,164 lighting fixtures and lamps were replaced last year; the effect of this work amounted to about 160 thousand kWh.
Kurskenergo spends the funds saved as a result of the implementation of the energy saving program, including to solve basic production problems, developing the electric grid infrastructure, and ensuring a comfortable life for residents of the Kursk region.
