The event was opened by Alexander Rudnevsky, Deputy General Director - Director of the branch “Rosseti Centre Kurskenergo”. He gave a positive assessment to the work of the branch’s power engineers last year: “We implemented all measures of production programs, reduced the failure rate in grids by 37 percent, connected to electric grids a number of enterprises and facilities that are important for the socio-economic development of the Kursk region, and put into operation the Wialon motor vehicle geo-positioning system. The team also achieved good results in the field of industrial safety and preserving the health of personnel,” said the director of Kurskenergo.

Alexander Rudnevsky drew the attention of the participants to the fact that a year ago the practical implementation of digital grid transformation projects was launched, and this work needs to be intensified. He reminded that at present, power engineers and specialists of contracting organizations are working on the construction of the Interregional Grid Control Centre, the creation of a digital Distribution Zone in the Kursk region, the reconstruction of the 110/10 Vysokaya substation using the digital substation technology and increasing the installed capacity.

In more detail about the production activities implemented in 2019, the meeting participants were told by the chief engineer of Kurskenergo Vyacheslav Istomin.
