Lipetskenergo in 2020 to repair five thousand street lighting fixtures in Yelets

Specialists of the Lipetsk branch of Rosseti Centre continue to modernize street lighting in the region. In 2020, within the framework of the energy service agreement with the administration of the city district of the city of Yelets, power engineers will provide management and round-the-clock maintenance of outdoor lighting facilities and will repair and replace five thousand street lighting fixtures.

Thanks to an automated outdoor lighting control system, Lipetskenergo’s specialists will monitor the status of overhead lines online and in case of malfunctions promptly send repair crews to eliminate technological violations. In addition, to ensure reliable and high-quality lighting of the city, they will work to clear routes of power lines from tree and shrub vegetation.

“Work on the repair and maintenance of street lighting systems is aimed at improving the comfort and safety of residents of the Lipetsk region. Thanks to the use of modern energy-saving lighting fixtures, local governments will be able to reduce the cost of paying for electricity,” stressed Konstantin Drachuk, Deputy General Director - Director of the branch “Rosseti Centre Lipetskenergo”.

Work on bringing street lighting facilities into proper condition in the municipalities of the region is carried out regularly by Lipetskenergo’s specialists. In 2019, the company concluded and executed 57 contracts for the modernization of street lighting in 11 districts of the Lipetsk region, under which about three thousand obsolete street lighting fixtures were replaced by LED ones.
