A large-scale holiday of sports and a healthy lifestyle was held in Lipetskenergo

Power engineers of “Rosseti Centre Lipetskenergo” and “Rosseti Centre and Volga Region Kalugaenergo” on the eve of the Defender of the Fatherland Day fought on the ice arena.

The “Iceberg” sports complex in the Zadonsky district brought together more than 400 power engineers from the Lipetskenergo and Kalugaenergo branches, as well as Lipetsk City Energy Company. The main event was a spectacular hockey match between the Lipetsk and Kaluga power engineers. In an uncompromising struggle with a score of 9:6, the team of the Lipetskenergo branch won. The most active hockey players of the match were also recognized. An electrician for operation of distribution grids Yury Chadov was recognized as the best player of the Kalugaenergo team. An electrician for operation of electric meters Nikita Potokin was named as the most technical player in the Lipetskenergo team.

The holiday continued with traditional round dances and unusual contests. Everyone could check their accuracy in the paintball shooting gallery and the Russian-folk game of towns, as well as run in the huge “squirrel wheel” and throw brooms. And families of the power engineers were able to test their cohesion in a fun relay race.

The “Day of Health” ended with a spectacular and emotional tense pull of tug of war. In a serious fight, the team of the Yeletsky Distribution Zone was the undisputed winner, who took with them the title of “Most Active”. Silver and bronze were taken by the teams of the Terbunsky Distribution Zone and Usmansky Distribution Zone, respectively.

And this is no coincidence, because who, if not the energy sector, makes a significant contribution to the defense of the Fatherland, ensuring the energy security of the regions on a daily basis,” stressed Konstantin Drachuk, Deputy General Director - Director of the branch of IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo.
