Kostromaenergo’s employees took part in a route game “Safety lesson”

Employees of the branch “Rosseti Centre Kostromaenergo”, together with representatives of the regional department of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia, employees of the State Inspectorate for Small Vessels of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia (GIMS), and the regional branch of the All-Russian Volunteer Fire Society (VDPO) continue to conduct route games on the topic of safety for children.

One of the last games called “Safety lesson” was held at the “Avtomobilist” sanatorium. Its participants were about 80 children from the Kostroma region aged 6 to 15 years, undergoing treatment and rehabilitation here. The main goal of the preventive measure is to introduce the children to rules of safe behaviour in the winter.

The participants of the game moved along a route consisting of thematic stations: “Electrical safety”, “Fire safety”, “Safety on water” and “Safety alphabet”. Here they were met by representatives of relevant organizations and departments who told the children how to behave in a particular emergency.

At the "Electrical safety" station, Kostromaenergo’s specialists introduced the children to rules of conduct near existing electrical installations, warned of the danger posed by the electric current, showed warning signs and posters. At a special training dummy “Gosha”, the power engineers demonstrated to the children how to provide first aid in case of electric shock.

Representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, VDPO, GIMS spoke about safety rules that must be observed near ponds in the winter, how to avoid falling into the wormwood and how to act if you find yourself in it, taught the children how to use fire extinguishers, call the fire department, and explained the rules of behaviour in emergency situations. During the year, such interagency occupational safety classes are planned to be held on an ongoing basis.

“Very often children from dysfunctional families come to us for treatment and rehabilitation. Sometimes they stay at home as elders. For them, the basics of electrical and fire safety, told in a simple and understandable language, are very valuable and indispensable in life. Children are happy to participate in such games, ask questions and discuss certain emergency situations. We appreciate your work and care for the children, and look forward to new interesting meetings,” shared her impressions Zoya Koltsova, a senior methodologist at the sanatorium.
