In 2019, Rosseti Centre Belgorodenergo completed grid connection of outdoor lighting networks for regional roads with a total capacity of 1,089 kW. The number of lighting fixtures was increased by more than 3 thousand pieces.
The power supply for the outdoor lighting was provided on the highway sections “Vengerovka-Nizhniye Penyi” (Rakityansky district), “Yakovlevo-Prokhorovka-Skorodnoye” (Prokhorovsky district), “Makarenko-Razumnoye-Nizhny Olshanets” (Belgorodsky district), “Krasnaya Yaruga - Kolotilovka - Grafovka” (Krasnoyruzhsky district), “Kamyzino - Novoukolovo - Vladimirovka - Obukhovka” (Starooskolsky city district).
To control the lighting, about 79 cabinets of an automated control system were installed, which allows to remotely, according to an approved schedule, adjust the lighting of fixtures, monitor the status of networks and keep records of energy consumption.
Control points of the automated control system are installed on the “Belgorod-Alekseyevka” road within the Novooskolsky district, the north-west bypass of the city of Belgorod, the “Krym” highway (within the borders of the villages of Yasny Zori and Arkhangelskoye), sections of the road network “Tomarovka-Kustovoye-Seretino”, “Tomarovka - Stroitel”, “Tomarovka - Streletskoye-Zadelnoye”, “Belgorod - Grayvoron - Kozinka”.
According to the regional department of construction and transport, of 705 km of roads equipped with outdoor lighting lines, 323 km are located within settlements. In 2019, additional lighting points were connected in Belgorod, Stary Oskol (the micro-districts of Staraya Melnitsa, Molodogvardeets, Dubrava, Mira St.), Valuyki, Shebekino, the settlements of Volokonovka, Veidelevka, Chernyanka, Dubovoye, Razumnoye, Oktyabrsky, Novosadovy, in the village of Nikolskoye and other populated areas.
The total number of lighting fixtures on the region’s roads reached 20 thousand units. All of them are energy efficient, have a long service life and a high degree of light output.
It should be noted that last year Belgorodenergo, together with the regional office of road facilities and transport, implemented a monitoring system for quality of lighting on the region’s roads, which shows the total percentage of lighting fixtures operating and the number of working (non-working) lighting points in a given time period. This system improved the quality of lighting of the road network and the effectiveness of responding to malfunctions in the operation of the lighting fixtures.
