In 2019, within the framework of supporting the development of the agro-industrial sector, the branch “Rosseti Centre Smolenskenergo” fulfilled grid connection agreements and provided additional capacity for agricultural enterprises of the Smolensk region. In total, 4 MW of power was provided to 30 agricultural facilities during the year. All the facilities are connected under the second or third category of reliability.
The largest agro-industrial complex connected to the branch’s grids in 2019 is CJSC Troparevo (Troparevo-Sychevka) in the Sychevsky district with a maximum capacity of 1,050 kW. The facility is a complex for reception and processing of grain, which specializes in growing grain crops to provide a feed base for pig-breeding farms located in the Smolensk region. It was built as part of the investment project of the Smolensk region “Project for construction of a feed mill with an elevator”.
Also, under the grid connection agreements, the branch’s specialists connected electrical equipment to Smolenskenergo’s grids and lit a feed mill of Slavyansky Product LLC in the village of Denisovo of the Pochinkovsky district (500 kW), a feed production line (120 kW) and a feed mill (150 kW) in the Safonovsky district, as well as a facility for storing apples of Gorodnyansky Orchards LLC in the village of Molgino of the Novoduginsky district (640 kW). The development of agribusiness is of great importance for the socio-economic sphere, providing residents with new jobs.
The energy company implements projects to supply electricity and provide additional capacities to enterprises and facilities of the agro-industrial complex within the framework of the agreement signed in September 2014 between Smolenskenergo and the Administration of the Smolensk region. The subject of the agreement is joint efforts and cooperation of the parties in order to support agricultural enterprises.
