The branch “Rosseti Centre Kurskenergo” will pay great attention to career guidance among schoolchildren and students of specialized educational institutions. Round tables, open doors days, tours to the Museum of the History of Energy and substations are held by power engineers regularly throughout the year.
The next career guidance event was held at the Kursk Railway College - a branch of the St. Petersburg State University of Railways of Emperor Alexander I in the city of Kursk. It was attended by teachers and graduating students of the educational institution, potential employers.
Kurskenergo’s specialists told the students about the specifics of work in the energy industry, about the prospects for the development of the branch’s distribution grid complex, as well as about the progress in implementing the “Digital Transformation 2030” concept, which involves the complete transformation of the grid infrastructure until 2030. In particular, the power engineers acquainted those present with projects that are being implemented in the electric grid complex of the Kursk region as part of digitalization. From the film “Digital Electrician” the guys learned about electricians of the future, which are equipped with mobile devices with special software. They will be able to remotely receive tasks for performance of work, electronically complete necessary documents and permits, record the fact of the beginning and end of work.
“Today, our company needs young talented, active and creative specialists who can work effectively in the new conditions associated with the implementation of digital technologies. Therefore, it is so important to acquaint students with the specifics of our work and personnel requirements already at the training stage,” stressed Lyudmila Mokrousova, the head of the human resources department at Kurskenergo.
