Smolenskenergo’s repair program in 2019 fully completed

12.02.2020

The repair program of the branch “Rosseti Centre Smolenskenergo” was implemented in full and on schedule. In 2019, Smolenskenergo’s specialists repaired 1,941.53 km of power lines of all voltage classes and 711 transformer substations of 6-10/0.4 kV. In order to improve the quality of electricity supply to consumers, Smolenskenergo repaired individual pieces of equipment at 169 substations of 35-110 kV. In addition, clearing of routes from trees and shrubs in an area of2,501.26 hectares was completed. The implementation of these types of work should ensure high-quality and reliable power supply to consumers and reduce risks of disconnecting lines due to falling trees. The costs of implementing the full range of work under the 2019 repair program amounted to 240.482 million rubles.

The bulk of the work was carried out by its own personnel without involvement of contractors. This not only allowed to reduce operational costs, but also to maintain the planned physical scope of repairs. The active stage of the repair campaign was in the warm season, but the implementation of the planned work began in January.

The largest facility of the repair program this year was the repair of the 110/35/10kV substation “Temkino”, which is the main supply centre of the locality of the same name - the administrative centre of the Temkinsky district of the Smolensk region. Here, the branch’s specialists overhauled disconnectors and circuit breakers, as well as performed routine repairs of two 110 kV power transformers with a total capacity of 20 MVA.

All work as part of the repair program was carried out in strict accordance with regulatory rules and legal requirements. The full and timely implementation of the repair program measures significantly contributes to uninterrupted operation of the branch’s power grid facilities during the heating period of 2019 - 2020, and to ensuring high-quality and reliable power supply to consumers in the Smolensk region. Using modern methods of organizing and applying modern technologies, the branch increases the reliability of power supply to consumers, extends the life of equipment and reduces the cost of scheduled work.
