At the end of 2019, the branch “Rosseti Centre Smolenskenergo” executed 3,017 contracts for connection to electric grids of individuals and legal entities with a total capacity of 98.2 MW.
The vast majority of grid connections (2,365 contracts) are customer connections with a maximum power of up to 15 kW inclusive (preferential categories of applicants). The branch’s own capital investments for fulfilling applications from the preferential category amounted to 275.28 million rubles. This is 31% of the disbursed funds provided for the renewal and development of electric grid facilities of the entire region as part of the enterprise’s investment program in 2019. Regardless of the amount of work required in the grids, the grid connection fee for applicants of the preferential category is 550 rubles.
The leaders in the number of applicants wishing to connect to the branch’s grids in 2019 were the Vyazemsky, Gagarinsky, Safonovsky, Yartsevsky, Roslavlsky, Smolensky districts of the region, as well as the city of Smolensk.
The availability of grid connection is a key factor in the development of business in the region, ultimately determining the investment attractiveness of the Smolensk region. That is why grid connection of applicants’ facilities is among the priority tasks of Smolenskenergo.
