Five lanterns in the form of a non-standard design were installed in the centre of Oboyan in the Kursk region. The “Orchestra” of metal musicians”- an accordion player, a balalaika player, a drummer, a saxophonist and a conductor, does not play music, but illuminates the square near the art school in the dark.
The idea of creating an artistic and, importantly, functional attraction appeared in the city administration, and experts from the branch “Rosseti Centre Kurskenergo” and sponsors helped realize the idea.
A distribution grid crew of the Oboyansky Distribution Zone laid a cable to each figure and connected the lighting fixtures to the power source.
To date, the idea is not yet fully implemented. Soon, next to the decorative musicians there will be benches and another art object in the form of a treble clef.
