Kurskenergo’s fleet is fully equipped with a GLONASS/GPS satellite navigation system

22.01.2020

The branch “Rosseti Centre Kurskenergo” has implemented a satellite monitoring and control system for vehicles. 632 vehicles are equipped with a GLONASS/GPS sensor system.

The satellite navigation consists of a tracker - a portable device that is installed on vehicles, and special software. The technology makes it possible to visually track the location and movement of vehicles on electronic maps. On-board terminals allow real-time data on the location of vehicles or special equipment. Thus, in case of emergencies, the speed of delivery of repair, operating mobile crews to the place of emergency and recovery work increases, which leads to a significant reduction in the time to eliminate technological violations.

“The work on equipping the fleet of the branch with the GLONASS/GPS satellite monitoring and control system for vehicles was carried out as part of the implementation of the digital transformation concept of Rosseti,” stresses Oleg Skrynnikov, the head of the logistics and supply department of the branch “Rosseti Centre Kurskenergo”. “Equipping the entire fleet of the enterprise with the navigation system will reduce the costs of its operation while improving the efficiency of vehicles.”
