Specialists of the branch “Rosseti Centre Yarenergo” together with the mayor’s office of Yaroslavl, as part of the contract for the maintenance of the outdoor lighting system, replaced 525 lamps with new ones, checked and repaired 262 lighting fixtures in various districts of the regional centre.
Yarenergo’s specialists started work in January 2020. A contract for the street lighting maintenance was concluded between the municipal public institution “Agency for Municipal Housing and Utilities” of the city of Yaroslavl and the branch “Rosseti Centre Yarenergo”. Every day, at the request of the city mayor’s office, up to nine special crews of power engineers work in the city under the agreement, replacing lamps, checking contact connections and starting equipment, and eliminate minor defects for reliable functioning of the street lighting system. Yarenergo’s experts also check the street lighting system, change failed individual elements, select the appropriate colour temperature of the lamps to bring the street lighting of the city to a single style. Priority is given to highways and major avenues.
It is worth noting that over the past two years, various third-party organizations that did not always have the necessary technical resources and trained personnel for these works served the street lighting system in Yaroslavl. In some cases, lamps and ballasts were used with parameters that did not correspond to the ratings of the equipment, in connection with this, an insufficient level of illumination is observed in some streets of the city.
