Aleksey Rutskov, the head of the department for forecasting balances of electricity, capacity and loss analysis of the branch “Rosseti Centre Voronezhenergo”, became the winner of the regional competition of works in the field of science and education. At the solemn award ceremony, the power engineer was handed over the laureate’s diploma by First Deputy Prime Minister of the Voronezh Region Vladimir Popov.

In 2019, 76 scientific works in chemistry, physics, medicine, political science and other popular areas were submitted to the competition. Aleksey Rutskov, who, in addition to working at Voronezhenergo, works at the Department of Electric Drive, Automation and Control in Technical Systems of the Voronezh State Technical University, presented the scientific work “Management of power flow processes in regional energy supply systems based on fuzzy regulation apparatus and neural networks”. According to the expert commission, it was included in the list of the best works of the competition, and the young power engineer was awarded the title of the Laureate of the Voronezh Region Government Prize among young scientists.

“The results obtained by me and my colleagues in the course of scientific work can be aimed, first of all, at reducing costs in transmission of energy resources. It is also worth noting the fundamental importance of these studies from the point of view of intelligent control systems and, in particular, the development of elements of artificial intelligence. The results of our scientific work can be further applied within the framework of the concept “Digital Transformation 2030”, actively implemented by Rosseti,” said Aleksey Rutskov.

The Voronezh Region Government Prize in the field of science and education was established in 1992 with the aim of supporting the work of scientists who conduct research in the region. The expert commission, consisting of representatives of leading universities of the Voronezh region, evaluates the work of contestants according to several criteria: professional and practical significance, relevance and novelty of scientific research, contribution to the socio-economic development of the region.
