In the framework of the project “Professional training 2.0” energy students went on tours to Belgorodenergo

The 4th year students of the Institute of Energy, Information Technology and Control Systems (the Institute) of the BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov visited the first in the region digital substation 35 kV “Nikolskoye” of Rosseti Centre Belgorodenergo. A one-day training tour was organized as part of the “Professional training 2.0” project, the official partner of which is leading enterprises and organizations of the country, including PJSC Rosseti.

The future specialists were interested in digital technologies and modern software systems controlling equipment. The head of the southern section of the substation service, Yevgeny Mandrykin, explained that at the “Nikolskoye” substation, data exchange between intelligent electronic devices is carried out by means of a digital signal. All data on the operating parameters of the equipment, telemetry, telecontrol and remote alarm is transmitted via digital data transmission channels to the Unified Grid Control Centre. At the same time, the dispatcher not only monitors the technological processes, but also provides remote control of switching devices and relay protection and automation equipment.

According to Dmitry Prasol, Associate Professor at the Electric Power and Automation Department of the Institute, practical acquaintance with the design of the modern energy facility will help the young people decide on the topic of graduation theses reflecting the current tasks of the future employer and the industry as a whole. The program of the Institute’s training course has been compiled taking into account the real needs and characteristics of the region’s electric grid complex. “We are interested in our graduates meeting the expectations of both the university and the future employer,” he stressed.

“Professional training 2.0” is a joint project of the All-Russia People’s Front and the presidential platform “Russia is a country of opportunities”. In fact, this is a new mechanism of interaction between the student and the future employer, which can become a social elevator for young people. In particular, the competition of student work to solve practice-oriented tasks will help get a training in large companies in the country.

Currently, about 4 thousand cases of employers are placed on the platform of the All-Russian project профстажировки.рф. One of the most active partners of the project is Rosseti, which has placed 87 cases for students. The 4th year student Nikita Mozhzhakov became interested in digital substation modernization technologies and plans to develop his project for reconstruction of one of the outdated substations in the region, and the visit to the “Nikolskoye” digital substation will help him in this.

You can submit an application on readiness to devote the topic of your term paper or thesis to the solution of one of the cases until 30 November. One-day tours-trainings to leading enterprises and organizations of the country within the framework of the project “Professional training 2.0” are held from 25 November to 6 December in all 85 regions of Russia.
