A charging station for electric vehicles opened in Tambov

Specialists of the branch “Rosseti Centre Tambovenergo”* installed a charging station for electric vehicles in the Tambov region. It is located in Tambov on Morshansky highway 23 (next to Tambovenergo’s building). The project was implemented as part of the All-Russian program for development of infrastructure for electric transport of PJSC Rosseti.

The process of charging an electric car can be compared to recharging a laptop or mobile phone. The owner’s involvement is not required. He connects the car to the station and can be free. The technical solutions that are used in this charging station make the process absolutely safe. Car charging is currently free.

Charging stations have every chance of becoming popular in the very near future. According to unofficial data, now more than ten electric vehicles drive on the region’s roads. However, in the coming years, their number may increase, especially if the development of charging infrastructure.

“Currently, there is an active popularization and development of promising types of electric vehicles in order to improve the environmental situation in Russia. But you cannot talk only about electric cars and at the same time forget about the development of the necessary infrastructure. This type of transport requires energy, which means we need to talk about new solutions in this area. I believe that the Tambov region has high prospects for the development of electric transport, because we keep up to date. In turn, Tambovenergo will help increase the number of charging stations in the region,” stressed Nikolay Bogomolov, Deputy General Director - Director of the branch “Rosseti Centre Tambovenergo”.
