Tverenergo held the Open Doors Day for students of the Tver State Technical University

The Tver branch of Rosseti Centre held an open doors day for third-year students of the Tver State Technical University, students in the specialty “Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering”. The event was held as part of the work of Rosseti Centre in attracting young specialists to the company’s electric grid complex.

The power engineers told the students about the main activities of the Tverenergo branch, social guarantees and prospects for professional development for young professionals.

The participants of the event visited the Grid Control Centre (GCC) of Tverenergo, where the company’s specialists demonstrated their technical equipment and the advantages of modern dispatch equipment. Alexander Khlyzov, the head of the operational documentation development department of the dispatch service of the Grid Control Centre, told the guys about the main characteristics of the power grid complex of the Tver region, illustrating the information with the help of a video wall, on which real-time parameters of the branch’s power equipment are displayed.

The excursion ended with a trip to the modern 110/10/10 kV substation “Lebedevo”. The future power engineers were able to see new equipment that meets the latest requirements for reliability, durability, ease of use and is used at the latest energy facilities.

“Open Door Days” are traditionally held in Tverenergo for students of energy specialties of higher and secondary special educational institutions of Tver and the Tver region. Such events help young people form a practical idea of work in the energy sector and decide on a future place of activity. And for the energy company, this is an opportunity to interest young promising specialists in the energy profession. The continuity of generations, the exchange of experience, the constant desire to meet youth are important directions of the branch in preparing future staff.
