Specialists of the branch “Rosseti Centre Voronezhenergo” have begun training students at the Voronezh State Agrarian University named after Emperor Peter I (VSAU) at the specialized course “Digital transformation in the electric grid complex”. The new training course, developed by the specialists of Rosseti Centre and including both theoretical and practical training, was simultaneously started by the power engineers in 20 regions of Russia that are part of the service area of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region.
During the educational process, the students of the Agroengineering Faculty of the Voronezh State Agrarian University study topics directly related to the digitalization of the electric grid complex. The future power engineers will gain new knowledge in such areas as “Intelligent electricity metering”, “Digital Distribution Zone and distributed automation”, “Electric power storage”, “Digital substation”, as well as “Unmanned aerial vehicles and their application in the electric power complex” and “Internet of things”. Lectures are given by heads of specialized subdivisions of Voronezhenergo, who have rich experience in implementing modern technologies as part of the implementation of the concept of digital transformation, which was developed and is being implemented in Rosseti’s Group of Companies.
“In the context of dynamically developing digital technologies, which are increasingly becoming an integral part of the Russian electric grid complex, we are interested not only in the selection of qualified personnel at the stage of hiring, but also in direct participation in the training of specialists, during which we can provide them with the knowledge and competencies necessary to work in our company,” stressed Acting Deputy General Director - Director of the branch “Rosseti Centre Voronezhenergo” Vyacheslav Antonov.
