The future power engineers of the “12 kilowatt of youth” team took the second place in the professional skills contest among student crews of Rosseti’s Group of Companies.
As part of the All-Russian rally, dedicated to the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the student movement, 18 energy crews from all over the country fought for the title of the best. The members of the “12 kilowatts of youth” energy crew adequately represented the young generation of Lipetsk power engineers not only in creative competitions, but also in the professional skill contest, which this year was first included in the program.
For two days, the future power engineers of Lipetskenergo demonstrated their professional training in providing first aid to the injured, assembling an alarm circuit and replacing a faulty meter at Rosseti’s training centre at the 220 kV “Gorenki” substation in the city of Balashikha. Having scored 328 points out of 400 possible, the team became the silver medalist of the competition.
“Participation in the All-Russian rally of student crews this year was especially exciting and responsible, because in addition to creativity, we had to demonstrate our professionalism. The busy summer helped us get silver at the first competitions of professional skills,” Dmitry Kornilov, the captain of the “12 kilowatt of youth” team, shared his emotions from participating in the rally of student crews.
The “12 kilowatts of youth” crew also achieved high results in creative competitions. The protective helmet of the electrician of the future, as well as the energy tree, symbolizing the entire electric grid complex of the country, received bronze in the competition of helmets and art objects.
