Smolenskenergo allocated about 225 million rubles for repairs of power equipment

29.10.2019

The repair program of the branch “Rosseti Centre Smolenskenergo” was implemented in full and on schedule. For 9 months Smolenskenergo’s power engineers repaired 1,926.99 km of power lines of all voltage classes and 703 transformer substations of 6-10/0.4 kV. In order to improve the quality of electricity supply to consumers, Smolenskenergo repaired individual pieces of equipment at 169 substations of 35-110 kV. In addition, clearing of tracks from trees and shrubs on an area of 2,501.26 hectares was completed. The implementation of these types of work will ensure high-quality and reliable power supply to consumers and reduce the risks of disconnecting lines due to falling trees. The amount of funding for the branch’s repair program over the past period amounted to 224.997 million rubles.

The bulk of the work was carried out by our own personnel without involvement of contractors. This not only allowed to reduce operational costs, but also to maintain the planned physical scope of repairs. The active phase of the repair campaign was in the warm season, but the implementation of the planned work began in January.

The largest facility of the repair program this year was the 110/35/10 kV “Temkino” substation, which is the main supply centre of the locality of the same name - the administrative centre of the Temkinsky district of the Smolensk region. Here, the branch’s specialists overhauled disconnectors and circuit breakers, as well as performed routine repair of two 110 kV power transformers with a total capacity of 20 MVA.

All work as part of the repair program was carried out in strict accordance with regulatory rules and legal requirements. Timely execution of repairs is an important area of preparation for Smolenskenergo to undergo the heating period. Using modern methods of organizing and applying modern technologies, the branch increases the reliability of power supply to consumers, extends the life of equipment and reduces the cost of scheduled work.
