The branch “Rosseti Centre Kostromaenergo” acted as one of organizers of the “What? Where? When?” quiz for schoolchildren regarding life safety issues. Qualifying games of the quiz, which also included specialists from the General Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia for the Kostroma Region and the All-Russian Volunteer Fire Society, were held in secondary school №35 and secondary school №38 of Kostroma. Teams of experts from grades 7 and 8 of these educational institutions answered questions from residents of the region that related to water safety, electrical and fire safety, as well as the history of fire protection, civil defense and response services. They were given two minutes to discuss each topic. The answers of the young experts were evaluated by experts from among the organizers of the quiz.
How to move on the ground, if you find yourself in the zone of step voltage with a broken wire of a 10 kV overhead line? What should I do if my television is smoking? What materials easily conduct electric current? How to behave properly if you have fell through the ice? The students answered these and many other questions with a bang, demonstrating excellent knowledge in the field of life safety, and in the end they won with a score of 6:2.
During November, the “What? Where? When?” qualifying games will be held in several Kostroma schools. Based on their results, the best team will form a team that will play in the finals. And at the end of the school year, the organizers of the quiz will determine the best young expert in the field of life safety.
