The branch “Rosseti Centre Lipetskenergo” completed the reconstruction of the 110 kV “Dvurechki” overhead line

14.10.2019

Lipetsk power engineers modernized their grids in Gryazinsky district.

The 110 kV overhead line “Dvurechki” with a length of twenty kilometres was constructed more than forty years ago. It is socially significant for the region, as it provides electricity to villages of Lipetsky and Gryazinsky districts, as well as industrial facilities of the “Lipetsk” Special Economic Zone.

The power engineers carried out a set of measures to replace the worn-out wire with a new one and change insulators. Eight modern composite poles were also installed and 18 kilometres of durable and corrosion-free ground wire were replaced. All the work done by the power engineers will ensure the safety of people living here and increase the reliability of the district’s power supply.

“The reconstruction will allow Lipetskenergo to reduce the probability of technological disruptions on the power line due to natural disasters, as well as increase reliability and ensure uninterrupted power supply to the districts in the coming autumn and winter,” stressed Sergey Dmitriev, Deputy Director for Capital Construction.
