09.10.2019

The branch “Rosseti Centre Kurskenergo” continues to work on prevention of electrical injuries among children and adolescents. Since the beginning of the school year, power engineers have conducted thematic lessons in secondary schools of Ponyrovsky, Oktyabrsky, Manturovsky, Timsky and Fatezhsky districts of the Kursk region, as well as in schools of the regional centre. They were attended by more than 1,500 children aged 7 to 17 years old.

The branch’s specialists told the children about the role of electricity in human life, reminded about the need to comply with electrical safety rules when being near energy facilities. In particular, the guys found out why it is dangerous to play near power lines, break into the territory of transformer substations, climb power poles and take selfies. Kurskenergo’s employees explained to the schoolchildren the meaning of warning signs installed on electrical equipment, demonstrated the skills of providing first-aid medical care to victims of electric shock on the “Gosha” dummy simulator, showed thematic cartoons to the children of elementary grades that clearly explain the electrical safety rules.

Kurskenergo’s specialists conduct electrical safety lessons as part of a comprehensive program to reduce the risk of injuries to third parties with the assistance of committee and departments of education of the Kursk region.
