08.10.2019

The Central Commission of the branch “Rosseti Centre Kurskenergo”, chaired by the first deputy director - chief engineer of the branch “Kurskenergo” Vyacheslav Istomin, completed the test of readiness for the heating season of production units of the branch.

The check showed that all the planned 257 preparations for the winter in Kurskenergo were completed in full and on time.

The branch’s specialists repaired more than 1,792 km of 0.4-110 kV power lines and 319 10/0.4 kV transformer substations. Over 858 hectares of routes of overhead power lines were cleared from trees and shrubs.

Much attention on the eve of the maximum load season was paid to preparing personnel for work in low temperature conditions. With the active participation of Kurskenergo together with Chernozemnoe PMES, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Kursk region, and executive authorities, exercises were conducted to eliminate mass blackouts of power grid facilities caused by exposure to dangerous meteorological phenomena. In addition, five specialized trainings were held at the branch to introduce schedules for temporary outage of electric energy (power) consumption and to work out the interaction between Kurskenergo, Chernozemnoe PMES and JSC KEG during emergency response. Also, in September, trial ice melting was conducted on the 110 kV Sadovaya-Fatezh power transmission line.

To carry out emergency recovery work, the branch formed 10 mobile crews of 74 people, the power engineers have at their disposal 21 off-road and specialized vehicles, as well as 107 backup power sources with a total installed capacity of 1,583 kW, which can be used for temporary power supply, to primarily socially significant facilities in the region. The emergency stock of equipment is 100% complete.

The final assessment of the readiness of Kurskenergo for the period of maximum loads will be given in early November 2019 by the Commission of Rosseti Centre.
