Specialists of Rosseti Centre Kurskenergo took part in the headquarters’ training, which took place on the eve of the Civil Defense Day of the Russian Federation. In addition to the power engineers, the event was attended by territorial bodies of federal executive authorities of the region, executive authorities, local self-government, organizations and rescue services of the Kursk region.

During the training, issues related to alerting and gathering senior staff, bringing the Civil Defense Management System in readiness were worked out. Decisions to eliminate a conditional emergency were made. Within the framework of the exercises, reviews of readiness of personnel and equipment for actions in emergency situations were held.

Kurskenergo was represented at the show by emergency recovery crews of Distribution Zones. The branch’s specialists demonstrated personal protective equipment and modern vehicles, which allows to carry out scheduled and emergency recovery work as soon as possible.

In particular, the power engineers presented an aerial platform, which is designed for installation of technological equipment and maintenance of overhead lines, as well as a crew vehicle with the necessary special equipment, an autonomous power source and modern means of communication.

As part of the training, Kurskenergo’s power engineers “eliminated” a conditional emergency related to a power failure of a socially significant facility - a boiler house of a district hospital. The sequence and literacy of the measures taken were controlled by intermediaries from the Ministry of Emergencies.

“The total grouping involved in the training is about 13 thousand people,” stressed Alexander Lapin, Deputy Head of the General Directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for the Kursk Region. “All services involved directly in the practical activities acted in a coordinated, efficient and competent manner.”
