The project of the Yaroslavl branch of Rosseti Centre won the All-Russian contest MediaTEK-2019

The comprehensive program for electrical safety among children and adolescents of the Yaroslavl region “Four Seasons of Electrical Safety” of the Yarenergo branch was recognized as the winner in the nomination “Safe Energy” at the All-Russian contest of media, press services of companies of the fuel and energy complex and regional administrations “MediaTEK” held with the support of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation. The award was presented by Deputy Minister of Energy Anton Inyutsyn on 3 October in Moscow as part of the “Russian Energy Week”.

The project “Four Seasons of Electrical Safety”, developed by the branch “Rosseti Centre Yarenergo”, is a set of actions, social events, contests, lessons, printing and video materials for children and teenagers on electrical safety, formed according to a single principle and united by the common idea of ​​“seasonality”. Such an approach contributes to a better understanding and perception by children of the topic of electrical safety, helps differentiate the types of electricity dangers associatively during the seasons and to select ways to get out of possible dangerous situations that are relevant to a given season.

The main objective of the project is the prevention of cases of electrical injuries among children and adolescents. It has been implemented in the Yaroslavl region since 1 September 2018. During this time, three thousand children and dozens of educational institutions in the region took part in it and contributed to the formation of their culture of safe handling of electricity.

The All-Russian contest “MediaTEK”, with the support of the Ministry of Energy of Russia, is held annually for the regional media, public relations departments of companies of the fuel and energy complex and regional administrations. Its goal is to attract the attention of journalists, experts and the public to pressing issues of the functioning of the fuel and energy complex, stimulate the growth of professionalism of energy companies in the field of information coverage of their activities, stimulate projects related to the popularization of professions of the fuel and energy complex. The “MediaTEK” Expert Council is chaired by Dmitry Peskov, Press Secretary of the President of Russia, Deputy Head of the Presidential Executive Office. The Expert Council includes heads of major federal business media, journalism departments of Russian higher education institutions, and representatives of state authorities
