Specialists of the branch “Rosseti Centre Lipetskenergo” and entrepreneurs of the region met at a round table.
A working meeting between the power engineers and representatives of the business community was dedicated to the creation of favourable conditions for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in the territory of the Lipetsk region.
For 2019, there is a steady tendency in the region to increase demand for energy capacity by legal entities developed in the region, which is confirmed by the number of concluded agreements for grid connection. For 9 months of 2019, the number of contracts, concluded with legal entities up to and including 150 kW, amounted to 409, which is 102 contracts more compared to the previous period. The increase is due to the progressive development of the region’s economy, and especially of small and medium-sized enterprises.
The power engineers told the representatives of large companies about the maximum reduction of grid connection stages, preferential payment terms for applicants up to and including 150 kW, as well as about the availability of capacity in the region.
“The energy company today has sufficient production resources for the implementation of grid connection agreements. The branch’s capacity today is 2,703 MW; and 810 MW of it is available for grid connection of new consumers of electric energy in the territory of the Lipetsk region. We are ready to work with business online, in particular when choosing sites for development, in order to maximize the use of the load of existing feeding centres and make the best use of the potential of the region,” stressed Eduard Kachura, the head of the grid connection department.
Particular attention of the representatives of large companies was focused on future changes in legislation related to connection to grids. In the near future, the company is tasked with digitalizing the electric grid complex. Based on the legislation, from 2020 the grid company will be responsible for the installation and operation of metering devices.
In addition, the power engineers answered questions from the entrepreneurs about the possible consequences of reserving increased capacity, as well as the risks of financial costs for unused capacity since 2020.
