Kurskenergo’s employees completed the bulk of the repair work to prepare for the heating season

The branch “Rosseti Centre Kurskenergo” is actively preparing for the heating season. One of the main components of the preparatory work is the implementation of the branch’s repair program in accordance with the annual plan.

According to the results of eight months of 2019, the planned indicators of Kurskenergo’s repair program have been completed.

During the period under review, equipment was repaired at 24 substations of 35-110 kV. Of these, there is a number of substations supplying district centres of the region: 110/35/10 Glushkovo, 110/10 Paniki, 110/10 STK, 110/10 Ivnitsa. They are key sources of electricity for the social and industrial infrastructure of Glushkovsky, Medvensky, Zheleznogorsky, Sudzhansky districts of the Kursk region.

The power engineers have already completed repair work of 174 circuit breakers of 6 (10) - 110 kV, more than 140 isolators, short-circuit switches, 35-110 kV disconnectors, and replaced 108 stick-rod insulators of 35-110 kV.

In the scope of the repair program, work was carried out to repair oil receivers under power transformers at 30 substations. Also, diagnostics and measurement by the method of ultrasonic non-destructive testing of porcelain covers were carried out on 8 small-oil circuit breakers of 110 kV of VMT-110 type.

35-110 kV power lines were overhauled in Medvensky, Zolotukhinsky, Zheleznogorsky, Solntsevsky, Fatezhsky, Lgovsky districts of the Kursk region. On the 35 kV overhead lines Gakhovo-Dolzhenkovo, Zolotukhino-Fentisovo, Razvetye-Mikhailovka, Shumakovo-Zuevka, Fatezh-Linets, 110 kV Yuzhnaya-Lgov, wires and defective insulators were replaced, routes along overhead lines were cleared. A total of 46 poles, 2,757 insulators, 15 km of lightning protection cable, 0.84 km of wire were replaced on the repaired 35-110 kV grid. Also, since the beginning of the year, the branch’s specialists have cleared 789 hectares of routes along overhead lines.

Timely, complete and high-quality implementation of the measures will ensure reliable energy supply to consumers in the Kursk region,” stresses Alexander Muratov, the deputy chief engineer for production asset management and development of Kurskenergo.
