From 27 to 29 September in the city of Kursk on the basis of South-West State University (SWSU) the IX All-Russian Science Festival “NAUKA 0+” was held.
The event was supported by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Lomonosov Moscow State University, the Committee of Education and Science of the Kursk region and is focused mainly on the popularization of science and innovation. It was attended by large enterprises and organizations, as well as educational institutions of the Kursk region.
The exposition of the branch “Rosseti Centre Kurskenergo” demonstrated innovative projects of digitalization of the electric grid complex of the region. In particular, the key projects of the first stage of the “Digital Transformation - 2030” concept are the creation of a digital substation on the basis of the 110/10 kV “Vysokaya” substation, a digital Distribution Zone on the basis of Kursky Distribution Zone, the implementation of surveillance, control and automation tools, the development of digital radio communications, the creation of a unified grid control centre (UGCC).
The power engineers also told visitors about ways to reduce the consumption of energy resources at home and at enterprises, new metering devices, and the advantages of an automated system of commercial electricity metering. The experts introduced the participants and guests of the festival with a mock-up of an automated electricity metering system, which reduces energy consumption for “common house utility needs”, simplifies the collection and transmission of meter readings.
In addition, the operation of devices allowing quick and high-quality diagnostics of power equipment was demonstrated.
Within two days, the exposition of Kurskenergo was visited by about a thousand people. The work of the power engineers at the festival was highly appreciated by the organizers. The exposition of Kurskenergo was marked with the First-Degree Diploma and the Letter of Appreciation addressed to Deputy General Director - Director of Kurskenergo Alexander Rudnevsky.
“Kurskenergo is a regular participant in the All-Russian festival. Meetings, communication on its site give us the opportunity to demonstrate to a wide audience the advanced solutions and technologies used in the industry, as well as to receive information on the latest scientific developments in the field of the electric power industry and the prospects for their practical application, which is especially important during the implementation of measures to digitalize the electric grid complex of the region,” stressed Alexander Rudnevsky, Deputy General Director - Director of the branch “Rosseti Centre Kurskenergo”.
