Employees of the branch “Rosseti Centre Smolenskenergo” took part in organizing and conducting a city holiday as part of the festival of energy conservation and ecology “Together Brighter” in the city of Smolensk. The festive events were held on the Day of Smolensk on the Mass Field of the Central Park of Culture and Rest “Lopatinsky Garden”. The emphasis was placed on events for children and youth.
At the beginning of the festival, guests and participants of the festival were greeted by leaders of the region and representatives of energy enterprises.
Together with Smolenskenergo’s power engineers, the young participants got acquainted with specialized vehicles, were able to visit the cab of the aerial platform and try on the helmet of an electrician. The townspeople enjoyed taking pictures with hashtags in support of the festival, and the children received bookmarks and lesson schedules with the rules for safe handling of electrical appliances from the branch’s representatives as a gift.
Smolenskenergo’s employees are trying to popularize not only their profession, but also the culture of a lean attitude to nature and its resources, to demonstrate modern energy-efficient technologies. “Useful holiday” - such a popular name was given to the Festival in the regions of Russia, during which children learn a lot.
The festival events do not end there, small residents of Smolensk will have more lectures, excursions, open doors days at power facilities, which Smolenskenergo’s employees will hold in late September and October.
