Kurskenergo’s dispatchers upgraded their skills

24.09.2019

Staff training continues at the branch “Rosseti Centre Kurskenergo” as part of the “Digital Transformation 2030” concept. A weekly advanced training course was completed by operational and technological personnel of the branch.

The training was organized at the training centre for training operational and repair personnel of Kurskenergo, where high-voltage equipment of 35 - 110 kV used at substations of the branch was installed, cabinets with “digital” equipment were installed, in particular, smart metering devices that can simultaneously record consumption of electric energy and power, as well as transmit telemetry data to the grid control centre to the dispatcher for operational and technological management.

The main purpose of the training is to increase the professional level and the qualitative change in professional competencies necessary for conducting activities in the field of operation of “digital” electric grids.

During the classes, which were conducted by teachers of the South-Western State University, the operational and technological personnel of the branch studied the digital model of controlling technological processes of electric power facilities. The dispatchers were acquainted with the features of operational - technological and situational control of electric grids, the principles of building a digital substation, information and control systems of supply centres.

Please, be reminded that from 2019 to 2021, Kurskenergo plans to implement the technology of “digital substation” on the basis of the 110/10 kV substation “Vysokaya” and “digital Distribution Zone” on the basis of Kursky Distribution Zone.

“The digital transformation projects, implemented by the company in our region, are aimed at improving the manageability of electric grid facilities, reducing losses of electric energy and, as a result, significantly improving the reliability and quality of power supply to consumers,” stresses Roman Dryuchin, the head of the dispatch service of Kurskenergo. “Training employees who will become the driving force behind digital transformation in the future will allow to seamlessly move to the new technological structure of the electric grid.”
