Tambovenergo before the new school year took additional measures to prevent electrical injuries

Specialists of the branch “Rosseti Centre Tambovenergo” on the eve of the new school year took a set of additional measures to ensure electrical safety near educational and preschool institutions.

At all power facilities of the Tambov region located in and near schools and kindergartens, inspections of equipment were carried out for the safety of fences, locks, warning signs about the danger of electric shock. Work was carried out to eliminate dangerous defects of poles, wires and other electrical equipment, information signs on the danger of electric shock were updated.

Scheduled work was carried out to remove overhead lines and transformer substations outside schools, playgrounds, areas of mass development and replace overhead lines with bare wire with self-supporting insulated wire (SIW). In particular, the replacement of wires with self-supporting insulated wires was made on the school premises in the village of Kryukovka in Michurinsky district.

“In the new school year, the power engineers will continue to work on the prevention of electrical injuries among children and adolescents. Until the end of this year, it is planned to regularly conduct electrical safety lessons in schools in the region, during which Tambovenergo’s specialists tell pupils about the basic rules of behaviour near power facilities and how to properly handle electrical appliances in everyday life,” stressed Deputy General Director - Director of the branch “Rosseti Tambovenergo Centre” Nikolay Bogomolov.
