Hotline of power engineering specialists:
On 7 September, Kursk hosted the festival of energy conservation “Together Brighter”. The branch “Rosseti Centre Kurskenergo” presented one of the most informative and interesting venues for holiday visitors.
The power engineers demonstrated informational stands and interactive presentations to the festival participants telling about key projects of the first stage of Kurskenergo’s digital transformation. These include the creation of a digital Distribution Zone, digital substations, the development of digital radio communications and the formation of a single control centre for grids of all voltage classes.
The power engineers also introduced the residents of Kursk to a mock-up of an automated electricity metering system, which reduces energy consumption for “common house needs” and simplifies taking and transferring meter readings.
Kurskenergo’s employees told visitors about simple rules to reduce electricity consumption at home, thereby saving resources and their money. All day the photozone worked on the site, where anyone could take pictures in a suit of an electrician, trying on a helmet, dielectric gloves and boots.
Kurskenergo’s site was very popular among children. For young visitors to the festival, the power engineers organized a competition of drawings on asphalt on the theme “Energy Saving”. The guys were also able to test their knowledge in the field of electrical safety by taking part in a thematic quiz.
All young artists and experts in the field of electrical safety received gifts from the power engineers: paints, felt-tip pens and colouring books.
The exposition of Kurskenergo was visited by representatives of the administration of Kursk and the Kursk region. They noted the informativeness and fascination of the power engineers’ site for any audience, and also emphasized the branch’s role in promoting an energy-saving lifestyle.
In addition, during the festival, the winners and prize-winners of the regional stage of the all-Russian contest “MediaTEK 2019” were awarded. Kurskenergo’s press service is among the best with the project “LIGHT people”.
