Tverenergo completed work on connecting a school under construction to the grid of Rosseti Centre

The branch “Rosseti Centre Tverenergo” has completed a range of works on grid connection of a school in the Brusilovo micro-district of the city of Tver.

The construction of the facility is one of the directions for the implementation of the task of eliminating the second shift in educational institutions, set by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

The school is being built according to a standard project that has already been implemented on the territory of the Russian Federation and has established itself as economically feasible and effective. The project involves a large-scale infrastructure: in addition to classrooms, the new school will include two swimming pools - for younger and older pupils, a sports hall and a dance hall, sports grounds. Separate rooms are allocated for a dental office and library. Entrance groups will be equipped for disabled children.

“The school in Brusilovo will be the first in the region modern institution of a new level, where more than 1,200 schoolchildren will be taught. This is a landmark for the Tver region. It is necessary to ensure high quality work. The creation of modern and comfortable conditions for teaching children and the work of teachers is an important condition for a quality educational process, the development of the entire region will depend on the results of this in the future,” stressed Tver Region Governor Igor Rudenya.

The set of measures performed by specialists of the Tver branch of Rosseti Centre included the replacement of existing current transformers at the 110/35/10 kV substation “Yuzhnaya”, from which the school will be supplied with electricity. The power engineers completed the construction of 2 cable lines of 10 kV with a length of 0.27 km. In the distribution centre of 10 kV “South”, new 10 kV line bays were installed, equipped with vacuum circuit breakers, 10 kV current transformers, arc protection using microprocessor devices and an electric power metering system with the ability to connect to the designed automated information-measuring commercial metering electricity system (AMR).

The specialists of Rosseti Centre Tverenergo also constructed a modular package transformer substation of 10/0.4 kV and installed 10 cable lines of 0.4 kV with a length of 0.01 km.

The maximum connected power of the facility was 750 kW.

“We attach particular importance to the work on grid connection of social facilities,” stresses Manvel Mazhonts, Deputy General Director - Director of the branch “Rosseti Centre Tverenergo”. “By qualitatively and promptly carrying out all the necessary measures to provide power to new facilities of this category, Rosseti Centre once again confirms the status of a socially responsible company and makes a significant contribution to the development of the social infrastructure of the Tver region.”

In total for eight months of 2019, Tverenergo completed 2,759 contracts for connection to grids with a total capacity of 46.5 MW.
