An unscheduled emergency training took place at Rosseti Centre Belgorodenergo

06.09.2019

An unscheduled emergency training was held at Rosseti Centre Belgorodenergo to eliminate consequences of emergency power outages and quickly restore power to consumers in the service area of Belgorodsky Distribution Zone.

During the training, a scenario of the development of a complex technological violation related to the emergency disconnection of the 1st and 2nd sections of a 10 kV overhead line from the 35 kV substation “Bessonovka” was launched. 962 consumers, a school, a kindergarten and two water wells entered the conditional outage zone. A signal about the interruption of power supply was received by an operator of Belgorodsky Distribution Zone.

In a matter of minutes, personnel of the substation service, upon an emergency request, disconnected the bus section at the substation “Bessonovka” for repair, and two repair crews were sent to the emergency outage site. To connect socially significant facilities, two reserve sources of power supply were delivered.

As Deputy Chief Engineer for Operational-Technological and Situational Management - Head of the Grid Control Centre Alexey Bryazgunov noted that the whole range of personnel actions were subject to verification, starting from issuing an order to send a crew and ending with the time to eliminate the technological violation and restore power to all de-energized consumers. The staff was once again able to develop practical interaction skills, assess the readiness of technical means and equipment, ensure the organization of temporary power supply schemes for socially significant facilities using backup power sources.

“Today, the power engineers of Belgorodsky Distribution Zone coped with their tasks by connecting all conditionally de-energized consumers in 1 hour 36 minutes,” he noted. “Such sudden training is extremely important, because it allows to develop the skills of clear and coordinated actions in unusual situations.”
