04.09.2019

The second energy project shift of the Rosseti company was completed in the All-Russian Children’s Centre “Orlyonok”. The project of the gravitational energy storage device, prepared by a high school pupil from Belgorod Lyceum No. 9 Lidia Solnyshko in collaboration with a schoolchild from Samara Artem Shapovalov, was included in the list of winners and will now be presented in the semifinals of the annual All-Russian competition for the search and selection of innovative developments in the field of the electric power industry “Energy Breakthrough-2019” initiated by Rosseti together with the Skolkovo Foundation.

The Audience Award was given to the project “Battery sharing: a platform for managing distributed energy storage” prepared by Vlad Ilyinsky (Belgorod region), Daria Voronina (Tomsk region) and Aksinya Vorobyeva (Samara region).

108 children aged 15-17 years from all over Russia became the participants of the project shift in “Orlyonok”, who showed the best results in the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren of PJSC Rosseti and the All-Russian Forum of Scientific Youth “Step into the Future”.

During lectures and discussions, the schoolchildren got acquainted with alternative and renewable energy sources, energy storage systems, discussed the technological structure of the Russian energy system, features of asset management in electric grids, as well as the role and future directions of the development of Rosseti in the context of the digital transformation of the industry. The final stage of the competition was the presentation and defense of projects prepared by the schoolchildren during the entire period of study.

The closing ceremony was attended by Andrey Mayorov, Deputy Director General - Chief Engineer of Rosseti, who congratulated the residents of “Orlyonok” on the successful completion of the project shift and thanked them for their work. “Each of the presented projects is associated with the concept of digital transformation of the industry. The guys pleased us very much with their serious attitude to work: they raised urgent problems and suggested ways to solve them. In a fairly short time, they managed to understand the essence of the issues, work through them, and give their recommendations. I am glad that such worthy and talented successors are growing up in our country,” stressed Andrey Mayorov.

The energy shift teachers are experts in the field of energy and leading experts of the EnergyNet Infrastructure Centre, ANO “Schiffers Institute”, MPEI, Moscow Engineering Physics Institute, ISPU, St. Petersburg State Technical University named after Peter the Great, Ural Federal University and the GC Modern Technologies.
