A charging station for electric vehicles opened in the centre of Lipetsk

27.08.2019

Lipetskenergo continues to create infrastructure for environmentally friendly vehicles.

The first charging station for electric vehicles in Lipetsk was built by the branch “Rosseti Centre Lipetskenergo”. It is located near the shopping centre “Europe” on the Soviet street. The Rewatt’s electric charging station charges an electric vehicle’s battery on average in three hours. The system is developed on the basis of international standards and fully meets stringent quality criteria.

The process of charging an electric car can be compared to recharging a laptop or mobile phone. The owner’s involvement is not required. He connects the car to the station and can be free. The technical solutions that are used in this charging station make the process absolutely safe.

Electric charging works in test mode. At this time, car charging is free. This project was implemented as part of Rosseti’s All-Russian program for development of charging infrastructure for electric vehicles.

The station in the regional centre became the fourth in the Lipetsk region. Three others are located on the M-4 “Don” highway: 448 and 449 kilometres of the motorway in Khlevensky district, 417 kilometer - in the territory of Zadonsky district.

“Today in the Lipetsk region there are no fewer than 15 electric cars, and today, thanks to the created specialized infrastructure, they can easily get from Lipetsk to Voronezh. In addition, our region is on the route of tourists to resort cities of the Krasnodar Territory, and the convenient location of the charging stations on the territory provides maximum accessibility for owners of electric vehicles,” said Acting Director of the branch “Rosseti Centre Lipetskenergo” Vladimir Tikhonov.

The power engineers plan to further develop infrastructure for environmentally friendly transport. Perhaps the next charging station will appear in the micro-district of Yeletsky.
